Technical Writer

Credence has an immediate need for a Techincal Writer expected to start Late Summer 2025.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field and at least 4 years of IT experience. This role requires expertise in writing IT policy, strategy, and governance, as well as experience with Air Force or DoD enterprise infrastructure, governance, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below

• Develop, write, and maintain comprehensive IT policies, strategies, and governance documents.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to gather and analyze technical and procedural information.
• Ensure all documentation complies with Air Force or DoD standards and guidelines.
• Create clear, concise, and accurate documentation for a variety of audiences, including technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Review and edit documentation produced by other team members to ensure consistency and quality.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in technical writing and IT governance.

Education, Requirements and Qualifications

• Active Secret and or TS/SCI clearance required.
• Minimum of 4 years of IT experience, including writing IT policy, strategy, and governance.
• Experience with Air Force or DoD enterprise infrastructure, governance, policies, and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Proficiency in using documentation tools and software.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with technical writing in a government or military environment.
• Knowledge of IT security and compliance standards.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
