Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, maintain, and enhance datacenter infrastructure for USCENTCOM, including the installation, configuration, and continual improvement of hardware, software, and network services (Cisco ACI, VMware, LAN, SAN).
- Lead troubleshooting and service restoration efforts in complex network environments, working closely with engineering peers to resolve service-impacting incidents and outages across a variety of platforms.
- Analyze and document data center architectures and operational flows to identify opportunities for optimization, increased reliability, and effective risk mitigation.
- Work cross-functionally with internal technical teams, external partners, government managers, and various DoD support elements, fostering cooperation and delivering integrated solutions.
- Support network modernization efforts by contributing expertise in datacenter fabrics, routing protocols, virtualization, network segmentation, and the implementation of security and performance best practices.
- Engage in the full lifecycle of network services—from planning and deployment of new infrastructure to ongoing administration, monitoring, and upgrades in support of evolving mission requirements.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant technical discipline; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
- 3-5 yeats of relevant, ands-on datacenter experience deploying and sustaining Cisco ACI fabrics and VMware-based architectures (VDS & NSX highly desirable).
- Proven expertise with Cisco Nexus platforms (7000/9000, NXOS), Cisco ACI, Fabricpath, Multi-Site Orchestrator, Firewall, and Packet Brokers.
- Proficiency implementing protocals such as OSPF, IS-IS, BGP/MP-BGP, GRE, NAT, VRF, vPC, OTV, BFD, PIM, FHRP, STP, LACP, EVPN, VMM, EPLD, SPAN, and VXLAN.
- Experience with ACI Policy Model and integration with Cisco Tetration/Secure Workload, and working with Cisco Dashboard Fabric Controller.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences. Collaborative mindset with an ability to multitask.
- Active SECRET clearance required, with the ability to obtain Top Secret as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with additional routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP)
- LAN/WAN design principles and implementation
- Familiarity with Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine)
- Understanding of IT Service Management and highly reliable organizations
- Prior exposure to VMware NSX, VDS, and hypervisor platforms
