The Engineering (General) V role focuses on developing, implementing, and documenting engineering, integration, and readiness processes for PEO C3N Tactical Network systems. This senior-level position requires extensive experience in Tactical Network design and system integration. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining configuration baselines, evaluating processes, and ensuring that software products adhere to configuration management standards.

- A minimum of ten (10) years of engineering experience in Tactical Network design, integration, automation, and documentation.
Job Description:
The Engineering (General) V role focuses on developing, implementing, and documenting engineering, integration, and readiness processes for PEO C3N Tactical Network systems. This senior-level position requires extensive experience in Tactical Network design and system integration. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining configuration baselines, evaluating processes, and ensuring that software products adhere to configuration management standards.
Duties include:
- Develop, implement, and document engineering and readiness processes for PEO C3N Tactical Network systems.
- Prepare and maintain Configuration Item (CI) baselines.
- Assist in coordinating Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and other technical forums at the PM TN, PEO C3N, and subordinate agency levels.
- Assess the effectiveness of engineering and integration processes by working closely with program, project, and product management offices.
- Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, while making necessary adaptations or modifications.
- Manage and maintain Configuration Management tools and automate processes where possible.
- Oversee the version control of software deliverables and ensure proper software deployment in testing and operational environments.
- Analyze configuration issues and recommend solutions.
- Participate in design reviews, configuration audits, and software product evaluations to ensure software baseline management and accountability.
- Communicate effectively with teams regarding Army organizational structures and Unit Task Organization concepts.
- Lead Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) and provide independent engineering support on complex projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure Tactical Network systems comply with engineering and integration standards.
- Lead design reviews, configuration audits, and ensure baseline management for software systems.
- Manage Configuration Management processes to ensure software integrity and version control.
- Collaborate with and lead technical discussions with program and project management teams.
- Provide professional guidance on complex engineering projects and processes.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of Tactical Network systems and Army organizational structure.
- Proven experience with Configuration Management and software deployment processes.
- Ability to lead and manage engineering teams and discussions at various levels, including PM TN and PEO C3N.
- Proficiency in applying engineering techniques and procedures, with the flexibility to adapt them as needed.

- Full-time position, standard 40-hour workweek.
