Description:
This position is located on-site at Schriever Space Force Base (SSFB), Colorado, supporting our federal client’s Specialized Warfighter Development Contract (SWDC) on the Warfighter Simulations and Services (WSS) Agile Release Train (ART). The selected Software Engineer III will support the Missile Defense Space Warning Tool (MDST) project, contributing to the development of Modeling and Simulation applications used in warfighter training, system assessments, and concept evaluation. Responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, documenting, and integrating software features using C++ and/or Java on a Linux operating system. Additional duties may include customer interfacing and presenting technical briefings to stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 3 years of experience
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as C, C++, or Java
• Understanding of the software development life cycle
• Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Willingness to travel up to 10%
• Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Proficiency in Java or C++ in a Linux environment
• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite
• Full software development lifecycle experience
• Domain knowledge in missile defense, infrared space surveillance, or modeling and simulation
Clearance Level: Secret
• This position requires an active DoD Secret clearance
• U.S. Citizenship is required
Hourly Range: $60.00 to 75.00/hour
