Description:
This position is located on-site at Schriever Space Force Base (SSFB), Colorado, supporting our federal client’s Specialized Warfighter Development Contract (SWDC) on the Warfighter Simulations and Services (WSS) Agile Release Train (ART). The selected Software Engineer will contribute to the development of Modeling and Simulation applications used in warfighter training, concept evaluation, and system assessments. Responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, documenting, and integrating software features using C++ and/or Java on a Linux operating system. The role supports the Missile Defense Space Warning Tool (MDST) project and involves modeling Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) element capabilities.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university
• 0 years of related experience
• Familiarity with object-oriented programming in C, C++, or Java
• Understanding of the software development life cycle
• Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with C++ or Java
• Experience in software development including analysis, design, coding, testing, and integration
• Familiarity with the Atlassian Tool Suite
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Knowledge or experience in missile defense, infrared space surveillance, or modeling and simulation
• Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
Clearance Level: Secret
• This position requires an active DoD Secret clearance
• U.S. Citizenship is required
Hourly Range: $35.00 to $45.00/hour
