As an Audio Visual Technician, you support one of our Department of Defense (DoD) customers providing technical solutions for video streaming operations. In this role, you will apply hands-on expertise in audio-visual systems and live streaming.
You must be skilled in utilizing best practice engineering methods, possess knowledge of incident management, problem management, change management, knowledge management as well as request fulfillment and be a certified ServiceNow ITSM Implementer. Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
To thrive as an AV Technician, you should have:
• 5 years’ experience in AV technical support, video streaming, or a closely related field may be substituted for formal education requirements. Relevant industry certifications or documented specialized experience may also be considered in lieu of years of experience.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow HTML, CSS, Angular JS, Jelly scripts and Restful API webservices, experienced in Java script, html, or CSS.
• Demonstrate proficiency in state-of-the-art AV and streaming equipment, including Crestron, Extrol and comparable technologies.
• Strong working knowledge of video conferencing and streaming platforms, Zoom, MS Teams Live, WebEx, YouTube, Vimeo.
• Familiarity with AV over IP, digital signal processors, and networked AV environments.
• Proficient in basic audio and video editing software, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Audition, Final Cut Pro.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills required.
Responsibilities as the Audio Visual Technician include:
• Support all aspects of audio-visual operations, including technical design, installation, configuration, and operation of sophisticated AV systems and video streaming platforms.
• Setup, adjust, and maintain audio-visual and video streaming equipment for events, training and presentations.
• Provide comprehensive live and on-demand video streaming support, including camera operation, switching, encoding and monitoring of streaming quality.
• Perform preventive maintenance and diagnostic testing, repairs and upgrades.
• Assist in technical design and configuration of AV systems, coordinate with vendors on new equipment acquisition and implementation.
• Maintain accurate inventory, maintenance logs and system documentation.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
