Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Security Engineer (Cisco ISE) to support a classified Intelligence program in Chantilly, VA. The Network Security Engineer (Cisco ISE) will help design and maintain secure, high-performance computer networks. The Network Security Engineer (Cisco ISE) will work with a team to set up and protect network systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure everything runs smoothly and security, especially using Cisco technologies.

Responsibilities of the Network Security Engineer (Cisco ISE):
- Network Design & Implementation: design, build, maintain secure & stable network systems using routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
- Lead deployment & support of Comply-to-Connect systems
- Cybersecurity & Compliance: perform regular vulnerability assessments & penetration testing to identify & fix security issues
- Compliance & documentation for government systems
- Testing & Troubleshooting: monitor network performance & troubleshoot issues
- Run tests & ensure system reliability
- Recommend upgrades or changes to improve performance & security
- Collaboration & Communication: partner with other engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to implement solutions
- Create & maintain clear documentation of system designs, procedures & updates
- Tools & Technologies: use tools like Nmap, Nessus, & tcpdump for network analysis
- Strong emphasis on Cisco ISE or ForeScout for network access control
- Knowledge of Windows/Linus systems, TCP/IP networking & 802.1x security protocols
Qualifications of the Network Security Engineer (Cisco ISE):
- Active TS/SCI CI Polygraph required in order to be considered
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering or cybersecurity
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with large-scale enterprise networks & data centers
- Strong knowledge of network routing, switching & firewalls
- Experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) or ForeScout
- Familiar with Comply-to-Connect (C2C) systems & related infrastructure
- Proficient with network security tools like Nmap, Nessus, and tcpdump
- Understands TCP/IP, 802.1x, and general network security concepts
- Experience with Windows and Linux systems
- Scripting knowledge: Shell, Perl, XML, …
- IAT Level II (GSEC, Security+, SSCP, or CCNA-Security) certification required
- Preferred: Cisco, Red Hat, CSOC operations, DOD networks, open-source security tools
Compensation of the Network Security Engineer (Cisco ISE):
- Total compensation based on experience level - $150,000 - $175,000+ **based on experience level**
