Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Virtual Server Administrator to support the USMC Network Activity Center for the National Capital Regions. This person will perform daily server checks and complete reports and offer solutions to any alerts or errors that present themselves. This role is fully onsite in Quantico, VA.
Must have active Secret clearance - can hold a TS
Job Duties/Requirements
• Perform daily server checks and complete reports and offer solutions to any alerts or errors that present themselves. Confirm backups are completed according to the customer's needs.
• Ensure all systems, network, and data users are in compliance with the Information Assurance (IA) policies and procedures. Take the necessary steps to rectify any compliance issues that present themselves.
• Research any vulnerabilities found from Retina security scans and apply patches to resolve.
• To maintain compliance, apply security patches as well as implement security measures as necessary, according to the Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE), Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA), Operational Directives (OpDirs), and Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) security standards.
• Utilized VMware vSphere vCenter and SCCM to manage multiple ESXi and AHV hosts; datastore clusters, and virtual machines (VM)
• Apply Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) on USMC hardware and software to meet DISA security requirements.
• Monitor, maintain, and upgrade the NIPRNET and SIPRNET networks servers as well as hardware storage systems.
• Use the Remedy Ticketing System to troubleshoot customer issues, document actions taken, and route tickets to other sections as needed if unable to resolve the problem.
• Utilized VMware vSphere vCenter and SCCM to manage multiple ESXi and AHV hosts; datastore clusters, and virtual machines (VM)
Technical Requirements (MUST haves, needs not wants)
• 5+ Years of IT Experience
o Can use IT experience in school, military, side jobs, etc. as "experience"
• Experience with Virtual Server (VMware or comparable) and Windows System Administration
o Will support VMware/Virtual Server and Windows Server troubleshooting, configuration, patching, and day-to-day administration.
• Experience operating within a Ticket-Based environment using Remedy, ServiceNow, or other ticketing system
• IAT Level II Certificate
o Qualifying certificates: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, CAP, CASP+ CE, CISM, CISSP (or Associate), GSLC, CCISO, or HCISPP
o Must have VCA/VCTA certification to start
o 6 months waiver for VCP
• Active Secret Clearance
Compensation:
$70,000k -80,000k**depending on experience and degree**
