Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Junior Contracts Specialist to support the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H). This person will help shape future research and development concepts, programs, and solutions; integrate and advance our nation's healthcare ecosystem processes, policies, and enabling technologies; and enable the agency to expand its healthcare and scientific scope into yet unknown areas. This role is fully remote.
**Must have ARPA-H Experience**
What you will do:
• Assist with the development and administration of ARPA-H projects to include tasks such as: assisting in the development of solicitations and related documents; managing BAA proposals and negotiations; and coordinating within the mission office for cost proposals and technical evaluations.
• Collaborate effectively within a diverse team:
o Build strong relationships with scientists, engineers, and other advisors involved in the program.
o Communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
o Actively participate in brainstorming sessions and problem-solving exercises to drive the program forward.
Required Skills:
· Bachelor's Degree required.
· Three years or more experience in Contracting and/or Procurement, preferably in a government or research environment.
· At least 1 year experience supporting DARPA or related Federal "ARPA" agencies (IARPA, ARPA-E, HSARPA).
· Experience working with OTAs, grants, contracts, and cooperative agreements.
· Must be capable of tracking metrics effectively and adept at managing multiple parallel projects and tasks simultaneously.
· Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research, analyze data, and write reports.
· Active Public Trust or ability to obtain.
Desired Skills:
· General knowledge of acquisition documentation requirements (RFI, SN, BAA, J&A) with experience working with each.
· Experience in an R&D environment is highly preferred.
· Experience supporting federal or commercial health agency/organization is a plus.
· Experience with PowerBI.
· Knowledge of the biomedical research landscape is a plus.
· Three years or more experience within a Federal ARPA organization.
· Two years or more experience in Federal Healthcare and/or Scientific Consulting.
· Experience supporting complex healthcare and programs of a research and development nature.
Compensation:
$90,000k -125,000k **depending on experience and degree**
