Description:
You will be a Test Engineer responsible for supporting the Redstone Arsenal Precision Fires and JAGM customer, with a focus on maintaining and troubleshooting M270A1 Launchers and testing various missiles, including ATACMS, GMLRS, HELLFIRE, and Javelin. Our team is dedicated to ensuring the reliability and performance of these missile systems, and you will play a key role in performing dynamic and environmental testing, as well as electrical testing, on these assets.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for performing a range of tasks, including:
• Maintaining and troubleshooting M270A1 Launchers
• Testing ATACMS, GMLRS, HELLFIRE, and Javelin missiles as part of the Stockpile Reliability Program (SRP)
• Performing dynamic and environmental testing on ATACMS, GMLRS, and HELLFIRE SRP assets
• Assembling and disassembling missiles, including ATACMS, GMLRS, HELLFIRE, and Javelin
• Troubleshooting and writing final reports on test results
• Occasional travel (up to 10% of the time) to support SRP testing, both within the continental United States (CONUS) and outside the continental United States (OCONUS)
Your responsibilities will include:
• Developing technical solutions to complex problems, using ingenuity and creativity
• Maintaining skills proficiency in mechanical/fluid systems and electrical/electronic systems through on-job training and formal classroom training
• Operating and maintaining missile checkout and support equipment
• Performing missile electronic system or subsystem integration and buildup
• Following configuration control procedures and achieving certification in technical skills as required

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree in a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
• Must maintain proficiency in mechanical/fluid systems and in electrical/electronic systems through on-job-training and formal classroom training as required.
• Prior experience operating and maintaining live explosives
• Be able to achieve and maintain certification in technical skills as required by mechanical and/or electrical product or process specifications (i.e. forklift and hoist operation, heavy equipment operation, electrical assembly, application of sealants, etc.).
• Secret Clearance required to start
Desired Skills:
• Follow configuration control procedures in effect on assigned project effort.
• Develops technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
• Support test on the Redstone Arsenal on several different missile tests.
• Support frequent and sometimes extended (up to 3 months) travel to appropriate testing locations within the continental United States, or overseas as required in support of job functions and assigned duties.
• May be required to handle, install, and conduct testing of electro-explosive and solid explosive ordnance devices.
