Description
Markon is seeking a Logistician to support our NRO client from Chantilly, VA.
Responsibilities
The ideal Logistician will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following tasks:
- Develop and execute detailed plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies
- Provide comprehensive logistical support, including transportation, supply chain management, inventory control, and resource management
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure seamless and efficient use of resources
- Oversee the allocation and utilization of resources, including personnel, equipment, and supplies, to support deployment operations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of activities, including logs, reports, and records
- Identify and resolve logistical challenges and issues that may arise
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and efficiency
- Provide training and support to personnel to ensure readiness and effectiveness
- Monitor and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial constraints
- Assess and mitigate risks, ensuring the safety and security of personnel and resources
Qualifications
Required:
Entry-Level:
- 0-3 years of experience with a Bachelor's in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- OR 7 years of related experience with a High School Diploma/GED
- OR 5 years of related experience with an Associate degree
Intermediate-Level:
- 4-7 years of experience with a Master's in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- OR 10 years of related experience with a High School Diploma/GED
- OR 8 years of related experience with an Associate degree
- OR 6 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree
Senior-Level:
- 8+ years of experience with a Doctorate in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- OR 16 years of related experience with a High School Diploma/GED
- OR 14 years of related experience with an Associate degree
- OR 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree
- OR 10 years of related experience with a Master's degree
AND
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with a Counter-Intelligence Polygraph
- Experience working in a warehouse operations or deployment coordinator role
- Strong project management skills, excellent organizational and communication abilities

- Relevant certifications in logistics or supply chain management
- Willingness to travel and support deployment operations in various domestic and international locations
