Title: Electrician (Journeyman)
Location: Kingsland, GA 31548
Duration: Temp-to-Hire (after a min. of 520 hrs. worked)
Shift Days: Mon-Fri
Shift Timings: Standard
Payrate: Negotiable
Fringe Pay Rate: $13.08/hr -- PAID IN ADDITION TO THE HOURLY PAY RATE BUT SEPARATELY
Per Diem: $50/day (for anyone living 50+ miles from the jobsite)
Position Requirements.
Electrician Journeyman, you will be required to perform the following task.
• Read and understand electrical, architectural, and all other trade drawings read and understand project specifications.
• Perform layout and routing of conduit and circuits based on the contract drawings.
• Bend and install, EMT, PVC, and GRS conduit up to 4” with high proficiency,
• Using conduit benders, and threaders up to 4”
• Be familiar with underground duct bank installations and required safety practices for underground conduit installations.
• Pull, install and terminate wiring for 208/120, and 480/277 systems.
• Install Switchgear/Switchboards/Panelboards/Safety Switches/Transformers.
• Install outlets, switching devices, lighting control and Audio Visual.
• Have a full set of electrical hand tools. (Parsons will supply ladders, conduit benders, and major power tools.
• Must have min OSHA10, OSHA 30 preferred.
• Must have experience on heavy Commercial projects.
What Required Skills:
• Licensed Electrical Master or Journeyman License State or local level.
• Knowledge of National Electric Code, state, and local building codes
• High school diploma or GED
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Hold a valid driver's license – Clean Driving Record
• Journeymen - Completion of a 4 or 5 year apprenticeship program with verification / certifications.
• Pass a substance abuse test
• Ability to lift, carry, and push a minimum of 50 pounds, unassisted
• Ability to communicate with a team effectively and using modern management applications
• Communication skills, ability to interact with other skilled trade professionals, designers, and clients.
• Ability to work well individually and as part of a team.
