Lessons Learned Analyst

Key Role :

Assists the U.S. Army by serving as a Lessons Learned Program Subject Matter Expert ( SME ) with focus in the Joint Lessons Learned Information System ( JLLIS ) and as a JLLIS Administrator and Organization Lessons Learned Manager. Maintains responsibility for the implementation of JLLIS as the DoD system of record database for organizations IAW regulatory guidelines, managing and synchronizing the input of data from identified operations and events as required. Coordinates and c ond ucts Lessons Learned and JLLIS support and training for personnel and organizations in support of events to include emerging requirements as identified by US Army leadership. Organizes data collected and c ond ucts analysis of trends or statistical information. Creates, delivers, and maintains tailored and functional training products and deliverables, updates current processes and procedures, records and tracks all information in JLLIS or designated system based upon mission partner requirements. Maintains a professional continuum of learning by attending conferences, workshops, or courses as required to further improve the ability to impact exercise evaluation and assessment and the lessons learned program, complies with regulatory and federal guidelines, and stays current with new technologies and practices. Travels to and participates in required workshops, such as Concept, Initial, Mid, or Final, Exercises, and other required events to provide Lessons Learned support and JLLIS integration efforts. Improves organizational processes and performance by ensuring that valuable insights and experiences are documented and shared effectively.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in leadership roles planning, executing, and assessing multi-echelon military training
  • 5+ years of experience with operating on a O6-O9 level military staff
  • Experience with After Action Reports ( AARs ) and Military Operations post-mission reports
  • Ability to resp ond accurately and quickly to internal and external taskings, develop and coordinate detailed training support packages, develop concise reports for briefings, and deliver them to senior leaders
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree


Additional Qualifications :

  • Experience with Service or Joint Lessons Learned Programs
  • Experience as a formal Military Trainer or Instructor and Observer Coach/Trainer (OC / T)
  • Knowledge of Micro sof t Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to interpret the intent of a client's needs effectively and help to shape and form the solution by leveraging team capabilities

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
