The Infrastructure Support Engineer provides 24x7 Tier I/II help desk support for all tenants in the Defense Health Agency (DHA) network. You will work with other Tier I/II engineers in the network security operations center.

The Infrastructure Support Engineer provides 24x7 Tier I/II help desk support for all tenants in the Defense Health Agency (DHA) network. You will work with other Tier I/II engineers in the network security operations center.
**THIS IS AN ONSITE POSITION IN SAN ANTONIO, TX**
You Will:
- Triage issues and resolving and/or escalating to the appropriate network teams for remediation
- Engage with internal and external customers to provide status updates on network issues
- Troubleshoot issues with a variety of different network devices and protocols
- Work in a team setting and make recommendations related to troubleshooting, device configuration, and documentation
- Document projects, support actions, and other administrative artifacts to serve as reference material for related support activities and management staff
- Ensure incidents and service requests adhere to established service level agreements
- Support "on-site" 5 days a week 2 nd shift (2PM-10:30PM) Joint Base San Antonio, TX. JBSA Fort Sam Houston.
You Have:
- U.S. Citizenship
- A minimum of a Department of Defense (DoD) Active Secret level Security Clearance
- 5+ years relevant experience in supporting a large network infrastructure
- A strong working knowledge of Cisco Routers/Switches, Palo Alto Firewalls, and Virtual Private Network devices
- A good understanding of TCP/IP regarding routing and subnetting
- Experience with the following Network protocols and services:
- Routing Protocols (OSPF, BGP)
- Access Control Lists
- Layer 2 Switching
- Spanning Tree
- Packet Analysis
- Good written and oral communications skills
- A can-do team player attitude that can work under pressure and prioritize tasking
- Willingness and ability to work shifts to cover 24x7 operational environment
Certification:
- IAT Level II
- Security Certification (Security+ CE, CCNP Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, or SCCP)
- Cisco OS Certification (CCNA or CCNP)

- BS in Computer Science or a related discipline
