System Administrator-Senior Level

N i ghtwing is seeking a highly motivated S ystems Administrator to join a mature program in the Sterling VA location. The qualified S ystems Administrato r will support a very dynamic program in a world-class operations facility and must have a broad range of experience supporting mission critical network s and computer systems.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: TS/SCI with POLY

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design, implementation, and maintenance of an organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, VMs, networks, and data storage solutions

• Provide advanced technical support and guidance for system-related issues, ensuring high performance, security, and availability of IT systems

• Coordinate and manage IT projects, including system upgrades, and network improvements ensuring projects are delivered on time

• Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures, ensuring that all IT systems comply with industry regulations and organizational policies

Required Skills

• 5+ years' experience in troubleshooting complex network problems

• 5+ years' experience in communicating with customer representatives in a variety of forums, in both written and spoken form, regarding technical subjects

• 5 + years of experience in IT, cybersecurity, and/or network/systems administration

• Proficie ncy experie nce with Red Hat Linux (RHEL) workstations and servers, including installation, configuration, administration and troubleshooting

• Working k nowledge of an or c h e s t r a t i o n a n d a u t o m a t i o n tool such as Ansible, Salt, P u p p e t , Chef, etc .

• Ability to optimize , secure, and manage servers to ensure high availab ility, performance, and scalability

• Knowledge of advanced features such as virtualization, automation, and patch management with the ability to integrat e these systems to support organizational requirements

• Experience with administering and managing user and system accounts on Linux distributions

• Ability to manage serves, workstations, users, identity policies, etc. using FreeIPA

• Hands on experience with Physical rack installations, troubleshooting, and system integration

• Experience with network troubleshooting and configuration

• Experience with following the Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) or NIST Special Publications , to ensure IT devices are properly configured and secured

• Experienced with hardening systems across various platforms using STIGs to mitigate vulnerabilities and to ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements

• Experience with administering and managing user and system accounts on Linux distributions

• Ability to manage serves, workstations, users, identity policies , etc. using FreeIPA

• Strong communication , analytical, and decision-making skills

• Experience with cybersecurity practices and compliance

• Understanding and willingness to learn configuration and maintain virtual server environments

• Knowledge in device /equipment integration into graphical user interfaces (GUI) for monitoring systems , utilizing various software suites

Desired Skills

• Experience with managing and troubleshooting network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls

• Ability to operate in a high-speed environment with changing and evolving mission priorities

• Experience with Cisco iOS

Required Education:

• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering , Software Engineering, System Engineering , Computer Science , or another related field
