Technician

Mayvin is currently seeking to hire a Technician to provide vital support to the United States Capitol Police, Technical Countermeasures Division in support of its Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) mission. This crucial role involves working closely with USCP stakeholders to troubleshoot and repair electronic equipment.

Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Must have a Top-Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities :

• Provide a broad range of support to the USCP's Technical Surveillance Countermeasures Program
• Selects, modifies designs, maintains, assembles, and develops electronic, RF, and test & measurement equipment and systems
• Independently and as part of a team, tests, calibrates, troubleshoots, and repairs electronic equipment and systems
• Performs research, selection, modification, design, maintenance, and/or the development of Technical Security equipment and systems.
• Stays abreast of emerging technologies and how these technologies may impact technical security. Investigates and develops advanced techniques and devices to mitigate these threats
• Independently and as part of a team, reviews, analyzes, and resolves difficult and complex technical security problems.
• Assists with the design, installation, and maintenance of technical security components, systems, and infrastructure.
• Expected to be a subject matter expert, requiring formal and independent learning and the ability to translate this expertise into recommendations in specific circumstances.
• Communicates orally with customers and groups on technical security related issues.
• Writes reports to document mission events, research findings, procedures, and other technical security related issues.

Qualifications :

• Associate degree in Electronics or closely related field, or equivalent military training, or better
• 7+yrs technician experience related to the duties listed above
