Principal Software Engineer- TS Clearance

This position requires an active Top Secret Clearance. Candidates who do not hold this clearance are not eligible for hire.

Solidus is hiring a Principal Software Engineer. This is an onsite role based in Aurora, CO.

Day in the Life:

• Design, develop, test, deliver, and maintain software for cutting-edge satellite ground systems
• Work with talented teams of engineers, architects, and leaders in an Agile environment
• Experience a breadth of advanced software technologies and techniques including multi-tiered architectures, AWS web services, and microservice software design
• Utilize modern DevSecOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery techniques
• Explore software lifecycle practices for large-scale defense projects
• Gain experience with satellite ground system technologies including command & telemetry, flight dynamics, planning and scheduling, and spacecraft operations

Required Qualifications:

• US Citizen with an active Top Secret Clearance
• Undergo a comprehensive background investigation
• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
• 8 years of relevant software engineering experience
• Experience developing object-oriented software using Java and C++
• Experience developing software in a Linux environment
• Experience with Atlassian tools such as Confluence, Jira, and Bitbucket

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI is preferred
• Experience with some area of satellite ground system software, such as mission management, vehicle planning and scheduling, command and telemetry, satellite operations, or flight dynamics
• Experience leading software teams
• Software development lifecycle experience using the SAFe Agile methodology
• Experience developing software using Python
• Experience with software integration, cloud architecture, infrastructure/platform as a service, microservices, containerization, and web-based systems
• Experience with AMMP, Cucumber, GIT, Khaos (M2C2 FD), Kubernetes, Oracle, Postgres, SonarQube, Weblogic, WIGS/Angular
• Experience with cybersecurity, DevSecOps, and CI/CD processes
• Experience working with full stack development

The salary for this position is estimated to be between $140,000- $190,000. Customer contractual specifications, relevant work experience, skills, competencies and certifications, clearance status, and benefit selections will influence the final salary.
