Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time early-career Guidance, Navigation, and Control Engineer. In this role, the candidate will perform duties of mission analysis, flight dynamics, test analysis support, requirements verification, and system design. The candidate will participate in issue resolution as well as develop solutions to complex technical problems while ensuring sound technical content and timely resolution. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of hypersonic flight dynamics, reentry vehicle systems, trajectory simulation techniques, as well as utilizing MATLAB for system architecture design and data analysis.

This position requires the candidate to work on-site full time. The candidate must be a US citizen as well as be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience using Matlab and/or Simulink for planning and conducting system performance and simulation analysis.

Knowledge of system design and flight vehicle architectures.

Understanding of requirements verification
Desired Skills:
Master's degree in a related discipline from an accredited university

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience in hypersonic vehicle design and reentry vehicle systems

Experience with navigation, controls, and guidance algorithm development

Experience in requirements definition and verification

Strong interpersonal skills

Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with team members

Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues

Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment

Active DOD Secret security clearance
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
