This position will be assigned to the LM RMS Special Access Program (SAP) Security Team at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point, North Carolina. The Security Generalist is responsible for integration and execution of contractor and government security operations and must be able to prepare, maintain, and enforce security policy and procedures within the Special Access Program environment. You are required to be familiar with applicable government and user agency security policies, including DoDM 5205.07 and Vol 4, Intelligence Community Directive 705 (ICD 705), and other appropriate guidance. You will oversee visitor access and be the first line of security defense at the Special Access Program Facility (SAPF). You will execute the handling and storage of classified documents, electronic media, and support access control procedures. You will perform random searches, entry and exit inspections, conduct self-inspections, prepare for customer inspections, assist in security investigations, communicate and interact professionally during the enforcement of security policy and procedures. You will interact daily with senior ranking military officers, enlisted personnel, and key government stakeholders with confidence, poise and professionalism. Incumbents will be required to work 1st or 2nd shift and a non-standard work schedule that differs from their primary shift being hired for. While assigned shifts should be stable, applicants may be required to change shifts, if necessary, to support mission requirements, including weekends.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Physical security of assigned F35 facilities at MCAS Cherry Point, NC.
- Security efforts in support of the program include; integration and sustainment activities, F-35 specific Special Access Program support, and the overall execution of contractual security requirements
- Control access to all F-35 facilities, providing escort when required, and assisting in the planning, evaluation and execution of program security operations related to Special Access Program Facilities and Operations IAW current program and regulatory guidance.
- Provide assistance to other security team members, as appropriate
- Additional duties as required
- The incumbent may be required to work 1st or 2nd shift and a non-standard work schedule to support mission requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications :
1. Current SECRET security clearance with an
investigation within 6 years from the investigation
Closed date or confirmed enrollment within the
Continuous Evaluation (CE) program.
2. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance or confirmed enrollment within the Continuous Evaluation (CE) program if and when local mission requirements dictate.
3. Must be able to obtain and maintain access to Special Access Programs.
4. Must be able to obtain and maintain access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) if/when mission requirements dictate.
5. Familiar with working in classified environments and/or classified materials.
6. Outstanding written and verbal communicative skills.
7. Basic knowledge of DoD Manual 5205.07 and Volume 4, DoD Manual 5200.01 Volumes 1-3, ICD 705 and associated Technical Specifications.
Desired Skills:
1. Periodic Reinvestigation within the last six years.
2. Knowledge of F-35 Program Security requirements.
3. Experience working on Special Access Programs.
4. Prior experience with GSA containers and document control.
5. Experience working in a dynamic Military environment and be able to successfully interact daily with senior ranking USMC commissioned officers and key GOV stakeholders with confidence, poise and professionalism.
6. Comfortable making decisions autonomously and successfully operating in a military flying operations environment. Previous experience in military leadership and decision-making roles would be beneficial.
7. Familiarization with Defense Information Security System (DISS).
8. Knowledgeable user of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access.
9. Access Control and Physical Security experience ability to perform assigned tasks.
