Chief Systems Engineer/ Architect Lead

SAIC is seeking a Chief Systems Engineer/ Architect Lead to serve as the Technical Advisor and provide subject matter expertise (SME) to the DIA for Systems Engineering and Technical Innovation. This effort focuses on providing a comprehensive set of System/ Software Engineering and IT services to maintain, sustain, enhance, and improve/ modernize MARS. The ideal candidate will be located in the National Capital Region.

Please note that this is contingent upon contract award, with an anticipated decision expected by fall 2025.

The Chief Systems Engineer/ Architect Lead responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Design and develop solutions to complex applications problems, System Administration issues, or Network concerns as well as perform Systems Management and Integration functions
• Cloud systems plans and strategy; design, development, and deployment of applications into a Cloud or Hybrid Cloud; and implementation of enterprise infrastructure and platforms required for cloud computing
• Architecting and leading the development and integration of cloud-based information and computer systems that meet specific needs
• End-to-end cloud deployment experience, from concept development to deployment

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
• Bachelors and 18 years or more experience; Masters and 16 years or more experience; PhD and 15 years or more experience
• 5+ years of experience providing enterprise-level IT Architecture and engineering services across network domains
• 3+ years of experience providing executive-level technical briefings and presentations to senior personnel in the IC
• 1 Cloud Security or cloud-related technology certification such as: Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), GIAC Cloud Security Automation, AWS Certified Security-Specialty, Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer, VMWare Certified Technical Associate, Azure Security Engineer Associate, CompTIA Secure Cloud Professional (CSCP), Certified Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK)

Desired Qualifications:

• ITIL Certifications
• IASAE III Certifications: CISSP-ISSEP, CISSP-ISSAP

Target salary range: $200,001 - $240,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
