Job Description Summary:
The Senior Corporate Space Planner creates short and long term occupancy and space utilization strategies for the headquarters and multiple satellite locations for Draper. This position directly supports executive level reporting, analytics and strategic real estate portfolio decisions.
Job Description:
Duties/Responsibilities
• Conduct a design and utilization survey of existing space and updating drawings to reflect the as• built environment.
• Implement and manage a new space planning tool to enable scenario planning and space utilization metric reporting.
• Create high level plans for utilization of space and facilities consistent with requirements of organizational efficiency and available facilities and funds.
• Develop, present and implement approved space plans that meet organizational and operational needs, to ensure the development of the most efficient office/lab environment.
• Conduct annual space utilization audits
• Establish a Facilities master plan and standards.
• Manage the interior design, wayfinding and emergency evacuation signage within facilities.
Skills/Abilities
• Excellent analytical and data analysis skills
• Outstanding communication & presentation skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Prior space management experience
• Extensive experience with AutoCAD and space planning tools
• Experience reviewing and understanding design and construction documents
• Proficiency with MS office productivity software
Education
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a closely related field
Experience
7 • 10 years of experience in a space planner role
Additional Job Description:
Applicants selected for this position will be required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
