We are seeking a highly motivated Systems Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This role involves working closely with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering, hardware/software integration, and experience with military standards and communication protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with customers to define and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
- Analyze and translate requirements into system, hardware, and software designs and interface specifications.
- Conduct testing and validation to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
- Provide lifecycle support for fielded hardware and software, including troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies for potential application to business needs.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance (Requires US Citizenship)
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or Data Science with 3+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 1+ year of experience.
- Proficiency in system requirements analysis, schematic design, and hardware/software integration.
- Familiarity with communication standards and protocols such as RS422/RS232, PC104, TCP/IP & Ethernet, IEEE-488, MMSI, and MIL-STD-1553.
- Knowledge of military standards including MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, and MIL-STD-1472.
- Experience with CAD tools and creating electrical schematics.
- Proficiency in using JIRA for project management, including cost and schedule tracking, milestone planning, and SOW execution.
- Active Secret Clearance
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles or relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+).
- Experience in network design and implementation.
- Familiarity with systems engineering tools and methodologies (e.g., DOORS, CAMEO, Earned Value Management).
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Background in product/systems development and integration.
- Technical domain knowledge in air vehicles and/or weapons systems.
Candidates must have the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
