What you'll do

We are looking for an Information Assurance (IA) Engineer who is eager to contribute to a small, fast-paced team! Our ideal candidate will have a background in securing medium-to-large scale distributed systems for government customers. This role will support security compliance for one of our satellite ground networks.

The day-to-day

In this role you will, provide technical support as part of a program's Information Assurance (IA) team. This will include security control assessment, security requirement analysis, security architecture analysis, and documentation of security-related plans and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and document security standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Assist in the creation and documentation of a vulnerability management program
  • Participate in security risk assessment activities

What you'll need

  • 5+ years of experience as an Information Assurance Engineer with focus on government systems
  • Experience designing and documenting security plans, policies, and procedures
  • Familiarity with security compliance standards such as NIST 800-53
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity defense and detection methodologies
  • Familiarity with defense-in-depth architecture
  • Good understanding of Identity and Access Management concepts
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related field or equivalent years of experience
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, take ownership of tasks and results
  • US Citizenship required

Salary range

$129,000.00 - $204,000.00 / annually.For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $160,500.00- $240,500.00/ annually
