Make a Real-World Impact as a Software Virtualization Engineer

As a Software Virtualization Engineer, you'll play a key role in national security by enabling the delivery of critical mission applications through cutting-edge virtualization technology.
What You'll Do:
As a member of our elite virtualization engineering team, you'll help virtualize, optimize, and deploy mission-critical applications in a complex enterprise environment. Your work will directly support intelligence operations by:
- Creating and maintaining virtual application packages for VDI and traditional clients
- Working with mission SMEs and testers to ensure flawless app functionality
- Supporting advanced use cases-plugins, graphics-intensive apps, and more
- Automating processes to streamline application delivery
- Configuring and enhancing the app delivery infrastructure
- Driving improvements in backup, DR, and Continuity of Operations (COOP)
- Contributing to detailed technical documentation and team knowledge sharing
- Staying ahead of the curve with the latest in VMware, Citrix, and Microsoft virtualization tools
- Troubleshooting and resolving software and infrastructure issues
Required:
- Bachelor's degree + 5 years' experience in Systems Administration or Virtualization (or equivalent experience)
- 8140.01M IAT Level II certification
- 3+ years with VDI technologies (VMware Horizon, Citrix, or Microsoft RDS)
- 2+ years in application virtualization (Citrix XenApp, App-V, App Volumes, etc.)
Preferred:
- Expertise with Windows OS (Desktop & Server)
- PowerShell or scripting for automation
- Experience in non-persistent desktop environments
- Familiarity with profile management (VMware DEM, Liquidware ProfileUnity)
- Strong understanding of Active Directory, GPO, and load-balanced app delivery
- Experience with ITIL practices and architectural design principles
- Virtualization certifications (e.g., VMware VCA-DCV)
- Knowledge of ServiceNow, Remedy, or similar ticketing systems

- Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $145k-159k. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
