Chenega Analytic Business Solutions (CABS) provides federal agencies and commercial customers with trusted insights into Records and Information Management, Administrative Solutions, Information Technology, Engineering, and Training. Formed in 2017 to serve federal and commercial customers, CABS is 8(a) certified and has grown quickly into a leader in the federal IT and Training environment.

The Information Assurance Specialist will support SWFLANT and SWSNET DoD Cybersecurity/Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP)/Risk Management Framework (RMF) initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor vulnerability and remediation status utilizing the latest DISA and Navy CS/IA mandated and authorized systems and tools (currently Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP), and Host Based Security System (HBSS)). Communicate and coordinate remediation actions with the IT support staff.
  • Create and maintain SWFLANT's accreditation documentation by the DoD and Navy directives, policies, and standards.
  • Apply Cybersecurity/Information Assurance Vulnerability remediation and software patches by the SSP Enterprise Information Vulnerability Management Program ensuring automated processes, like Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) are fully leveraged.
  • Provide initial IT security/indoctrination training.
  • Manage account and password requirements for all user and system accounts by the DoD, DON, SSP, and SWFLANT IT security directives and instructions.
  • Maintain a list of authorized users by system and access level.
  • Establish and maintain account administration functions for all the SWFLANT IT system users.
  • Maintain logs and records to reflect accurate configuration data, including system passwords, track network, server, workstation, and application downtime.
  • Document and assist in correcting Electronics Security Violations in aby SSP Enterprise incidence response program.
  • Provide a written incident report by Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) Incident Response Plan (IRMPL001 - Incident Response Plan) to SPK16 and ISSM/IAM when an IT security violation is found and work with IA in the incident process to ensure chain of custody, digital forensic collection, and proper incident handling and ultimately remediation.
  • Provide laptop security administration.
  • Address cybersecurity concerns for remote workers and the laptop loaner program.
  • Participate in Configuration Control Board meetings and coordinate efforts with applicable SWFLANT personnel.
  • Maintain documentation and baseline configurations of SSP and SPK laptops that connect to the network environment, including both Wide Area Network and remote access VPN.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • 4+ years of IT-related work experience
  • Cyber Security Workforce required, Security and Operating System certification, or government-approved equivalent required at the start
  • Security+ required
  • Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Experience with ACAS Vulnerability Scanning tool and Vulnerability Remediation Asset Management (VRAM) is highly desired.
  • Must have the ability to obtain certification requirements, including classes, credentialing, and continual certification as required (minimum level of Cybersecurity (CS) Category Code: 40, Specialty Area Code: 46, Proficiency Level: Intermediate/Journeyman, per SECNAV M-5239.2, and IT Position Level IT-1, per SECNAV M-5510.30).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Windows Server 2019, CISCO Technology, and Check Point Firewall R80.XX, and VMware.
  • Must be an effective communicator at multiple levels and able to grasp system concepts and communicate their applications.
  • Must be capable of quickly learning new systems and associated software applications for proficient execution of tasks and managing multiple tasks with time-related constraints in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize.
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to self-start and work independently or as a team.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% as requested.
