Summary

Chenega Global Protection is seeking a Visitor Control Center Specialist to support the Naval Sea Systems Command's (NAVSEA) Office of Security. This individual will conduct security inspections of visitors and their belongings for weapons and other prohibited items. The position requires the use of hand-held metal detectors in addition to physical searches of belongings, baggage and/or equipment. Additionally, this role will be required to verify visitor clearance eligibility and use the Navy/Marine Corps Intranet (NCMI) as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain sight of all personnel in order to observe and monitor visitor actions, activities and movements.
  • Verify access eligibility and provide appropriate levels of access to cleared visitors, uncleared visitors, seated or unseated contractor support, foreign nationals, or new/existing employees.
  • Use the Navy/Marine Corps Intranet (NCMI) as part of assigned daily duties.
  • Verify an individual's clearance eligibility or visit access request before determining the appropriate access to NAVSEA headquarters facilities.
  • Maintain inventory of government provided badging supplies and provide appropriate request documentation when nearing depletion.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience performing visitor control duties.
  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
  • Minimum of one year of related work experience.
