• You will perform routine repairs and maintenance of plant and/or office facilities and equipment
• You will perform basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing, plastic or sheet metal fabrication, or associated work on plant facilities using hand and power tools
• You may be required to troubleshoot equipment or facilities problems and reports them to supervisor
• You may interpret blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications
• You may perform routine inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary
Basic Qualifications:
• At least 1 year of experience repairing plant machinery, property/infrastructure, and equipment
• Experience with water distribution systems (includes chilled water, heating/cooling systems)
• Experience with trouble shooting and repairing infrastructure related mechanical subsystems (i.e. sanitation and potable water supply/systems, and hydraulic systems)
• Experience with completing all facets of associated repair work including wall and tile repairs, and painting as required
• Knowledge of boiler, chiller and building automated electronic control systems; complex refrigeration systems including two stage screw compressors and HVAC systems that supply controlled temperature and humidity
• Ability to check out operational and functional components of entire building HVAC systems as required to maintain, repair and operate to original manufacture's specifications
• Must have a valid Alabama driver's license
• Must be a United States citizen and be able to obtain a U.S. government security clearance at the Secret level
Desired Skills:
• Must have successfully completed or in process required training as an HVAC Technician - Trainee or have 1+ years of experience in related field .
• 2+ years of experience repairing plant machinery, property/infrastructure, and equipment
• 2 or more years of experience maintaining chillers, boilers, BAS, and associated pumps
• Have or willing to obtain a Universal Refrigeration Reclaim license
• Position may require overtime as required
• Have or willing to be certified to operate forkilifts, cranes and ariel lifts
• Experience with all hand and power tools required to repair plant machinery, infrastructure, and equipment
• Experience reading blue prints a plus

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
