ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Model Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to join our team in Stafford, VA.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- The Model Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) III is a leader in their field, using advanced modeling techniques to design and analyze complex systems
- With expertise in systems engineering principles and modeling languages, they create detailed system models that capture every aspect of system design and behavior
- These models provide powerful tools for analysis, simulation, and decisionmaking, helping to identify potential problems early and ensure that the final system meets all requirements
- Act as a bridge between different engineering disciplines, ensuring everyone works from the same blueprint, adhering to architectural frameworks like the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) for consistency and interoperability
- Mentor Junior Engineers, sharing their expertise and promoting the use of model-based techniques throughout the organization
- Ultimately, their work leads to better designs, more efficient development processes, and higher quality systems
- Provides direction and mentorship to subordinate staff
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field or 4 years of additional experience in lieu
- 9+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in at least one industry-standard modeling language (e.g., SysML, UML).
- Strong understanding of systems engineering principles (requirements management, system architecture, verification and validation).
- Experience with MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw, Rhapsody). Ability to develop and analyze complex system models. Strong understanding of simulation techniques and tools.
- Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS or Jama. Significant experience in systems engineering, with a strong focus on MBSE.
- Familiarity with the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) for integrating system models with enterprise architecture..
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Advanced knowledge of specific domain-related modeling (e.g., aerospace, automotive, defense). Experience with formal verification and validation methods.
- Experience with integrating MBSE tools with other engineering tools and Digital Twin technology.
- Experience in working with international standards (e.g., ISO, IEEE).
- Experience with proposal development, technical writing, and risk management as it pertains to system design.
- Certifications in MBSE or related areas (e.g., INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)).
- Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have an active/current TS/SCI security clearance.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
- Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
- The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc
