The Rapid Prototyping Group has an ongoing need to support electrical engineering on a number of funded efforts. The Rapid Prototyping Group focuses on delivering new advanced technology capabilities in timelines typically under a year. Projects are conducted in a team environment consisting of various subject matter experts, and leverages resources from multiple groups to successfully execute fast-paced demonstration efforts.
Specifically, the Group is seeking candidates with experience in the design of embedded software, firmware, and analog/digital electronics. The candidate will work on a variety of projects developing complex and innovative data/power/control interfaces and solutions for a number of fielded sensor systems/payloads.
Given the breadth of the work within the Group, we are looking for an electrical engineering-centric candidate.
Some relevant skills for the role are provided below:
The electrical-engineering-centric candidate should have the following skills (highest to lowest importance):Electronics Design for low power and battery operated systems analog circuits & sensors, Digital circuits, digital interfaces, sensors, embedded software development for microcontrollers, experience with electro-optics, RF sensors and communication protocols, Printed Circuit Board (PCB) schematic capture and layout tools, NVidia Jetson GPU products, FPGAs
Education Requirement
Master's with 6+ years of experience, or BS with 8+ years of experience working with small engineering/software teams
