Training Specialist Senior - Aegis Weapons System FCS Trainer

HOW A TRAINING SPECIALIST SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
• Develops, organizes, and conducts training and educational programs for customer personnel
• As part of the Training Team, you will be working with others who have differing levels of expertise and together you be able to achieve the mission of training the Navy's next group of Combat Systems technicians.
• Responsible for the instruction of Navy candidates on the systems for defense of the ship and ships around them.
• Use of their Navy skills to teach that same skill to new candidates
• Prepares and/or conducts training programs, teaches classes, holds seminars and discussion groups.
• Creates teaching outline in conformance with selected instructional methods, utilizing knowledge of specified training needs and effectiveness of training methods.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
• Education, bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline, and/or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work/military experience.
• Required Experience: Minimum of 5 years, prefer 7+ years of USN experience as an Aegis Fire Controlman
Must be current or recently former USN Fire Control Technician (AEGIS)
• Graduate of NAVY Aegis Fire Control System C School, Graduate of NAVY Aegis A school
• Security Clearance Level: Secret
• Required Skills and Abilities: Specialized experience operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and testing of fire control systems. Knowledge of but not limited to - maintenance to include fault isolation, tests, alignments, and repair on assigned equipment at the organizational level using the BMD 4.X Operational. Possess FCS NECs V05A. Readiness Test System (ORTS) and supporting documentation.
• Must be able to support training with extended periods on your feet while instructing. Travel may be required up to 10% of the time.
• Location: Aegis Training and Readiness Center Dahlgren, VA.
