As a Security Professional - Patrol Unarmed - Afternoon Shift in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment. Your presence and routine patrols will help to maintain order and provide peace of mind to those on site. You will interact with employees, visitors, and contractors, offering exceptional customer service and clear communication. This post may involve working in areas with limited on-site facilities, such as portable toilets or a rustic guard shack, so adaptability and professionalism are key. Pay Rate: $17.65 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or potential hazards within the facility.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points as required by site procedures.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Willingness to work at locations with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
