Exercise Planner SME
The Opportunity:
This opportunity is for someone with technical skills, big-picture thinking, a tactical level orientation, and the desire to make an impact in national defense through the application of exercises at the operational level of military planning. This person must understand the U.S. military structure and the space domain to fully utilize existing training system tools that will be employed for local and distributed training audiences.
The ability to translate real-world military requirements into warfighting competency makes you an integral part of supporting the delivery of warfighter training that matters. You will support our team and directly participate in the planning, execution, and hotwash of exercises. Your participation on this team will require learning, management, and use of computer-based analytical tools, and your technical expertise will be vital as you develop and update the exercises on operational necessities, Joint Task List, and Commander 's guidance. You'll develop your skills in critical thinking, data analytics, and operations analysis while gaining experience in military training and operations of the Space Force.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. You Have:
- 4+ years of experience in service with the U.S. military
- Experience with military tier one and tier two exercises
- Ability to navigate the Joint Training Tool ( JTT )
- Ability to analyze large amounts of raw model output to identify key drivers
- Ability to distill, summarize, and articulate complex technical insights and findings
- Ability to follow operational analysis principles, theories, and concepts to execute study plans and analysis matrices
- TS / SCI clearance
- HS diploma or GED and 8+ years of experience with Joint Operations planning, or Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience with Joint Operations planning
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with a military lessons-learned program
- Knowledge of Combatant Command responsibilities and Service Component Command roles in those
- Knowledge of the Joint Event Life Cycle ( JELC )
