TIAG is now hiring a Systems Engineer to join our team in San Diego, CA supporting the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific. This position requires a Secret clearance to be processed, so only US or Naturalized citizens can be considered. This work is hybrid onsite at a San Diego, CA base location.
The Systems Engineer will work with our team supporting NIWC PAC performing code and containerized application scans, staging and deploying containers, as well as configuring and deploying Windows VM environments.

In California, the standard pay range for this role is 110,000-120,000 annually. This range is specific to California and may not be applicable in other locations.

Pay Range: $110,000 - $120,000 per year
The Systems Engineer will work with our team supporting NIWC PAC performing code and containerized application scans, staging and deploying containers, as well as configuring and deploying Windows VM environments.
Responsibilities will include:
- Perform code and container scans, then publish the findings to the Confluence page.
- Stage and deploy containerized applications
- Configure and install VM and networks
- Execute end-to-end testing of VM and containerized solutions
- Communicating effectively with technical team members, content subject matter experts, and customers
- Supporting assigned projects ensuring quality delivery, identifying risks, and escalating issues
- Maintaining awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application on client engagements
- Conducting software demonstrations and troubleshooting with customers of various technical expertise
- Participating in Scrum/Agile team and software development and delivery
Required Qualifications:
- BS degree in Engineering, Physics, Network Security, or Computer Science
- 5+ years of experience with 2-3 years of progressively more complex experience fielding systems using Red Hat OpenShift/Kubernetes
- 5+ years of experience working with Windows VM and VMware solutions.
- CompTIA Security + certification
- Experience developing/fielding applications using Agile Core Services (ACS)
- Excellent team collaboration skills and ability to tailor communication style to support audience engagement and understanding
- Proven experience utilizing Ansible Playbooks or Helm Charts.
- Demonstrated experience deploying server based systems
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.
- Understanding of databases, SQL systems, storage and distributed persistence technologies.
- Experience with Cyber Security practices and STIGs.
- CompTIA Linux+ or other Linux OS certification
