We are currently hiring an experienced COMSEC Custodian to support the Department of the Navy, International Partners, and Foreign Military Sales programs. Active Secret Clearance is required.

Position Overview:
The COMSEC Custodian will provide mission-critical support to the U.S. Navy in the areas of Communications Security (COMSEC) management, inventory control, and accountability in accordance with DoD and Navy-specific directives. This position serves as a key component in maintaining the integrity, protection, and lifecycle support of COMSEC material and equipment through the execution of COMSEC Custodian Inventory Manager (IM) responsibilities. The role ensures full compliance with National, DoD, and Department of the Navy (DoN) COMSEC policies and procedures, directly supporting Fleet readiness and secure communications capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as COMSEC Inventory Manager (IM) under the direction of the Navy's COMSEC Custodian.
• Support lifecycle management and accountability of COMSEC material, including receipt, transfer, inventory, destruction, and issue of Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCI).
• Perform database management and record-keeping using Navy-approved COMSEC Accounting Systems such as KMI (Key Management Infrastructure), EKMS (Electronic Key Management System), and associated logistics support tools.
• Assist with COMSEC audits, spot checks, and inspections to ensure compliance with DoD 5100.76-M, CNSSI 4005, and EKMS Series 1B.
• Provide technical guidance and support to end-users and command-level personnel regarding proper handling and storage of COMSEC material.
• Interface with C5ISR stakeholders to ensure COMSEC processes support mission communications, cybersecurity posture, and system interoperability.
• Maintain detailed and accurate COMSEC logs, tracking reports, and provide data inputs for Government reporting.
• Support training and awareness programs in secure communications handling for Navy personnel.
• Assist with COMSEC contingency planning and emergency destruction plans.
• Provide logistics coordination for the physical movement and safeguarding of COMSEC equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:
• U.S. Citizen with Active Secret clearance (Top Secret/SCI preferred).
• 3+ years of experience in a COMSEC-related role, preferably within the DoD or Navy.
• Familiarity with Navy COMSEC policies, KMI/EKMS operations, and Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCI) procedures.
• Experience with C5ISR systems and their integration into Navy operational environments.
• Working knowledge of DoD COMSEC policy documents (e.g., EKMS Series, DoD 5200.1-R, CNSSI 4001-4005).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and COMSEC inventory software/tools.
• Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and handle secure communications equipment per safety and handling guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications: EKMS 301/302 Certification or Navy COMSEC Custodian Course.
• Previous experience supporting Navy COMSEC accounts (Tier 2/3) or serving as a COMSEC Alternate.
• Familiarity with the transition from EKMS to KMI, including associated logistics and training processes.
• Experience working within FMS (Foreign Military Sales) COMSEC frameworks.
• Prior military or government contractor experience in secure communications support.
