We need an experienced Software Development Engineering Manager who will contribute to our team's ongoing success and growth. This role offers a unique opportunity to build a new team in Atlanta, which will have a focus on supporting Federal customers.

Responsibilities:
- Strategize with cross-functional teams to prioritise, plan, and execute top-tier experiences for Workday Learning customers.
- Lead the development teams through scrum and agile methodologies to deliver innovative features for global markets.
- Coordinate the analysis, design, programming, debugging, and enhancement of the Workday Learning product to ensure superior quality.
- Collaborate extensively with Development, Product, QA, Automation, Research/UX, Agility, Doc-writing, and Customer Support teams to proactively address and resolve customer issues creatively and efficiently.
- Mentor and develop team members, supporting both their professional growth and personal development.
- Embody and promote Workday's core values: Employees, Customer Service, Innovation, Integrity, Fun, and Profitability.
About You
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years people management experience, including performance management, career development, coaching and mentoring
- 3+ years experience in technical leadership of full stack software engineering teams in an Agile environment with CI/CD and test automation
- 8+ years of experience developing applications using Cloud-based technologies
- 8+ years of experience with design and development using an object-oriented language such as Java, Python, C#, C++, etc.
- Bachelor's degree in a computer related field or equivalent work experience
- US citizenship and reside in the US.

- Good technical project management skills, balancing multiple dependencies and delivering to committed deadlines.
- The ability to communicate technical complexity well, to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to positively influence important issues or decisions in a multi-functional environment.
