Are you a Linux guru with a passion for high-performance computing (HPC) and a desire to work on mission-critical technology that truly matters? D2 is looking for a cleared Linux Systems Administrator to join our team supporting key Federal Government customers in Dayton, OH.

In this role, you'll serve as a technical lead and subject matter expert (SME) in Linux systems administration for HPC environments. You'll play a hands-on role in configuring, securing, and optimizing advanced computing platforms to support some of the nation's most impactful defense missions.
What You'll Be Doing:

• Administer and support RHEL-based Linux systems, including installation, patching, upgrades, backups, and performance tuning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across OS, hardware, applications, and networking layers.
• Apply STIGs and hardening practices to meet DoD cybersecurity standards.
• Use tools like Ansible to automate server configurations and maintain system consistency.
• Monitor system health, generate performance metrics, and analyze logs to ensure system integrity and availability.
• Handle file system management, NFS/CIFS/SMB permissions, and firewall configurations.
• Maintain documentation, SOPs, and provide real-time support to stakeholders and leadership.

What You Bring:

• 8+ years of hands-on Linux systems administration experience (preferably RHEL).
• Strong skills in scripting and automation (e.g., Bash, Python, Ruby, or Perl).
• Experience with infrastructure tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP protocols and enterprise networking.
• Comfortable working directly with senior military and government stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently under general supervision.

Required Certifications:

• CompTIA Security+ CE
• RHEL or comparable Linux certification

• Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $149k-159k. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
