Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to support the development of real-time avionics systems for defense applications. This role involves designing, developing, integrating, and testing mission-critical software in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and integrate embedded software for real-time avionics applications.
• Support the full software development lifecycle, including requirements, architecture, design, implementation, testing, and documentation.
• Perform modeling and simulation as part of system development and validation.
• Participate in code reviews, system integration, and problem resolution activities.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Analyze system capabilities and ensure compliance with program requirements.
• Document software development processes and prepare operational instructions.
Basic Qualifications:
• 10+ years of hands-on experience with C++ development.
• 5+ years of experience with Visual Studio.
• 5+ years of Linux development experience.
• 5+ years of working knowledge of Link-16 (tactical data link).
• Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) on Windows and Linux platforms.
• Strong background in software design, architecture, integration, and testing.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies.
• Strong communication and technical documentation skills.
• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• Background in algorithm development is a plus.
• Prior experience developing flight-critical software is highly desirable.
