Junior Support System Analyst Infrastructure

We are currently seeking a "Junior Support System Analyst Infrastructure" for a contract role with one of our clients in Ottawa, ON/Hybird. Please apply if you would be interested.

Duration: 09+ Months

Reliability clearance required, Secret clearance preferred.

A resource is required to assist with Server Administration:

• Defining and administering Active Directory on Windows Server 2016/2019/2022
• Evaluating Client Server patches, and applying the patches
• Experience building and maintaining Client Windows Clusters
• Experience requesting and applying Windows Server Certificates
• Installation and Upgrades of Standard/Typical Software (MS Office / Browsers etc.)
• Installation and monitoring of an enterprise Virus Scanning solution
• Experience installing and configuring client software for an Enterprise Backup System (Tivoli Spectrum Protect). Monitoring of the clients backups on a daily basis, and periodically testing the backups
• Basic UNIX(AIX and Red Hat Enterprise Linux) knowledge
• Demonstrated experience supporting Printers and Scanners for end users
• Experience monitoring and troubleshooting an Enterprise System
• Demonstrated Experience automating tasks using Windows PowerShell or batch files
• Experience with Client, both on a server (vSphere and ESXi) and desktop (Client Workstation) level
• Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 installation and configuration
• Create detailed Documentation such as; Build books, process guides, design documents of solutions implemented.

Mandatory Criteria:

• The proposed resource must have successfully completed two academic years of an acceptable post- secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed .
• The proposed resource must have a minimum six (6) months of demonstrated experience in IM/IT, in a technical role.
• The proposed resource should demonstrate experience in the last 3 years, in information system trouble shooting, that includes all of the following activities:
  • Documented Diagnosis;
  • Documented Problem Analysis; and
  • Documented Recommendations.
