Support a diverse group of Engineers, Scientists, program managers, and business support personnel, with labs, manufacturing, testing and production spaces onsite, serving a variety of Space, Intelligence and commercial customers.

  • Maintain Annual Service Contracts with multiple vendors to include HVAC, Janitorial, warehouse/loading dock equipment, copiers, security guards, physical security / alarms, kitchen supplies, trash & recycling, shred service.
  • Clearing house for employee feedback on building operations, facility maintenance concerns, HVAC issues, employee visits/meetings/conferences, customer visits, feedback / requests from cleaning service, and multiple other needs and urgencies that arise daily. The facility manager must either handle or know who to engage and involve to address matters quickly.
  • Work closely with Procurement team to ensure proper procedures for purchasing and competition.
  • Manage a team of two direct facility employees who handle many building repairs such as replacement of lighting, minor plumbing, electrical and HVAC issues, and other minor repairs.
  • Engage a vendor when repairs are too large or outside capabilities of team.
  • Responsible for ensuring timely approval and payment of all invoices for work and service on property.
  • Build and foster valuable business relationships with multiple vendors that service the property, such as electrician, HVAC, physical security, security guards, and general contractor.
  • Maintain oversight of 2011 Ford Van - oil change, vehicle emissions inspection, maintaining usage log, and current insurance and registration.
  • Work hand-in-hand with Security / FSO on numerous projects to include updates to secure space, maintenance of alarms and access control, security guard management, badging, visitor management.
  • Work in partnership with Health, Safety & Environment lead on site. Respond to safety concerns, report safety matters and follow-through with repairs, or updates. Ensure facilities team is certified in forklift operations.
  • Manage two reception employees who maintain office supplies, kitchen supplies, coffee services and supplies, support vendor visits, and customer meetings with conference room reservations/preparation, catering and clean-up duties. Help to prioritize daily tasks and support to staff and visitors.
  • Lead team in conducting morale building events throughout the year, centered around holidays. Events help promote comradery and a balance to the workday, improving workplace relationships and inclusion.
  • Create Purchase Requests for routine and urgent spending. Maintain a Corporate Purchasing Card for mission essential purchases. Oversee and approve expenses of lead reception and facility team members.
  • Gain approval from General Manager informed for projects or facility spending over a certain threshold.
  • Primary conduit between our facility and employees, and our property management team and ownership. Meet monthly to discussion ongoing and upcoming projects. Seek property management approval for all large-scale maintenance, buildouts, or improvements to the property. Keep property manager informed of any safety issues or concerns with the property.
  • Maintain open communication with your facility and reception team. Stay engaged with leadership by attending operational meetings and maintaining relationships with division leaders.

  • Ability to obtain a SECRET / TS clearance.
  • No required certifications.
  • Job entails exposure to moderate noise from machinery.
  • Need to be comfortable working with all employees / grades / levels of leadership, and outside vendors and customers.
  • Property consists of over 90,000 SF of building space between three buildings, and most days involve a significant amount of walking between buildings and office areas.

The base salary range for this position is $110,600 to $228,965. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
