Tyto Athene is searching for a Junior Mobile Device Management (MDM) Engineer to support U.S. Southern Command on the SCITES II Contract in Doral, Florida.
The Junior Mobile Device Management (MDM) Engineer assists in the setup, deployment, and configuration of mobile devices using MDM software, confirming devices are correctly enrolled and security policies are applied. This position includes initial configuration, basic troubleshooting, and user support to ensure mobile devices remain compliant with organizational and DoD policies.

Tyto Athene is searching for a Junior Mobile Device Management (MDM) Engineer to support U.S. Southern Command on the SCITES II Contract in Doral, Florida.
The Junior Mobile Device Management (MDM) Engineer assists in the setup, deployment, and configuration of mobile devices using MDM software, confirming devices are correctly enrolled and security policies are applied. This position includes initial configuration, basic troubleshooting, and user support to ensure mobile devices remain compliant with organizational and DoD policies.
Responsibilities:
- Monitors device performance and alerts, escalating issues to senior engineers as needed, and documenting troubleshooting efforts for future reference
- Supports the mobile device lifecycle management process, including provisioning new devices, inventory tracking, and decommissioning devices that are no longer in use or are non-compliant
- Assists in testing and validating new MDM policies and configurations before they are rolled out to the broader organization
- Provides first-line support for basic device issues, such as enrollment failures, password resets, and connectivity problems, escalating complex issues to more experienced engineers
- Maintains and updates device records in asset management systems to track device status, location, and user information
- Assists with the creation and maintenance of user documentation, FAQs, and knowledge base articles related to MDM policies and procedures
Required:
- Highschool diploma or equivalent
- 0-3 years of experience in IT support or help desk roles with exposure to mobile device administration
- Basic understanding of mobile operating systems (iOS, Android)
- Familiarity with basic security principles and IT support procedures
Desired:
- Associate's degree in related field
- Familiarity with MDM tools like Microsoft Intune, MobileIron, or VMware Workspace ONE
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to follow technical instructions and learn quickly
- Attention to detail and a willingness to escalate issues appropriately
- Experience in a military or federal IT environment is a plus
- Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate
- CompTIA A+
- ITIL v4 Foundations
Clearance:
- Secret clearance required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI
Certification:
- DoD 8570 Baseline & CE certifications are required for all positions and may vary slightly depending on the skillset required to perform the role
- CompTIA Security+

- Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position.
