TEKsystems is seeking a Senior Level GIS Developer to support a long term contract in a fully remote capacity. This individual will contribute to mission-critical applications that directly support America’s farmers and agricultural programs. Developers will be hands-on with modern technologies like Angular, TypeScript, ArcGIS, and microservices, all within a secure, cloud-first environment.
As a core contributor during the early stages of the program, you'll have meaningful ownership and visibility into the technical direction. You will be working within a mature Agile framework that values quality and process excellence. You'll also benefit from collaborating with a forward-thinking team that blends cutting-edge geospatial technology with sleek front-end design. Most importantly, this is an opportunity to build software that genuinely matters—improving services for rural communities and shaping the future of federal tech.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. (7-10+ years)
• Familiarity with version control systems such as SourceTree, Bitbucket for code collaboration and management.
• Experience in following ESRI GIS best practices and building GIS applications and API’s.
• Utilize technologies including ESRI ArcGIS Online, WebApp Builder for ArcGIS, ArcGIS API for JavaScript v4.x, WebApi2, Java ,Angular
• Build the presentation layer using the front-end technologies – HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript and NodeJS.
• Work with GIS Web Developers to maintain or create application code using JavaScript and ArcGIS Services with technologies like C#, CSS, AJAX, Dojo, ArcGIS JavaScript API, python and Angular
• Experience with JavaScript UI frameworks, build unit test cases for code coverage.
• Experience in ArcGIS Desktop development using .NET C# and migrating them to Web based applications using AngularJS, JavaScript, TypeScript, ESRI JavaScript API.
• Experience in Migrating ArcGIS Desktop application (ArcObjects SDK) from 10.6.1 to 10.8.2 /ArcGIS Pro
• This position requires the ability to obtain a Public Trust.

• Monday through Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm CST
