NewGen is seeking a Senior Strategic Deputy/POM & Budget Integration Officer will lead and synchronize Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) activities across the Department of the Air Force and Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) for the Office of Cyber Resiliency Of Control Systems (CROCS). This role requires in-depth knowledge of Air Force budget processes, experience at the Pentagon, and the ability to craft and deliver high-visibility decision briefs to senior leaders. The officer will serve as a principal liaison between Major Command (MAJCOM) staff directorates, OSD Cost Assessment and Program Evaluation (CAPE), and other DoD staff agencies to ensure cohesive resource allocation, financial oversight, and strategic alignment. This position demands a strategic thinker with deep subject-matter expertise in DoD budgetary processes, exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to deliver decision-quality analysis at the highest levels of the Department of Defense.
Required Skills
DoD PPBE/POM Expertise: 8+ years directly supporting Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution cycles
Pentagon/Joint Staff Operations: 5+ years navigating OSD governance, staffing processes, and senior‐level decision forums
Air Force Budget Formulation & Execution: 5+ years hands-on with Program Element Budgets, CAIG interactions, and finance modernization
Executive Briefing Development & Delivery: 5+ years preparing and presenting decision-quality briefs, white papers, and memoranda to Flag Officers and SES
Cross-Agency Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement: 5+ years liaising with MAJCOM directorates, Combatant Commands, Joint Staff, and OSD CAPE

Primary Job Duties
POM Cycle Management (30%): Lead and synchronize programming guidance, budget formulation, and execution reviews across the Air Force PPBE cycle.
OSD CAPE Engagement (20%): Represent Air Force requirements in OSD CAPE deliberations, providing cost estimates, program evaluations, and analytic support.
Executive Briefing Development (20%): Prepare and deliver decision-quality briefs, white papers, and memoranda for senior DoD leaders, including Flag Officers and SES.
MAJCOM Staff Action Officer Coordination (15%): Draft staff action packages, staffing memos, and facilitate multi-agency coordination among MAJCOM, Air Staff, and DoD agencies.
Process Improvement & Oversight (15%): Identify inefficiencies and implement best practices for financial transparency, audit readiness, and performance-based resource allocation.
