Job Description:
We are seeking a Cloud/Server Network Admin with mid-level system administration skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for our Microsoft Azure IaaS/PaaS environment, and the operation and maintenance of Microsoft Server 2019/2022 with Active Directory Federated Services. This role will also entail supporting cloud-to-cloud migrations.
Key Responsibilities:
Administration of our Microsoft Azure IaaS/PaaS environment
Management of hardware/software configurations, updates, patches, and ITIL-compliant documentation processes
Integration of various technologies as tasked by government process through configuration control board and execution of process through test platform
Execution of system modernization, performance monitoring, capacity planning, problem resolution, infrastructure software deployment, and application software deployment
Maintenance of RMF Continuous Monitoring of assigned servers through submission of STIG checklists and POA&Ms quarterly
Management of SSL website certificates and server certificates on required assets
Backup and restoration of systems and data, as well as building of virtual servers
Configuration and management of a Development/Test/Staging environment that mimics Production functions
Assuring the 24x7 operation of Azure IaaS/PaaS servers
Execution of server contingency operations, disaster recovery, and business continuity
Supporting migration of cloud-based environments and handling cloud-to-cloud migrations
Required Skills & Experience:
A minimum of a 4-year college degree in a related field required.
Minimum of 8 year's work experience in the field
Must have one: Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC or SSCP.
Microsoft Server 2019/2022 certification preferred, and Azure certification required.
Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on communication in a report environment.
Demonstrable technical analytical and critical thinking skills
Proficiency in current Microsoft server operating systems, Simple Mail Transfer Protocol, Internet Information Services (IIS) 8.5 and 10, PKI and other authentication methods, Domain Name Server, and Active Directory
Knowledge of Ports and Protocols, Cloud Services, and Backup Services
Ability to respond quickly to work requests or technical issues, and dive deeper if the answer is unknown.
Additional Requirements:
On-call support availability is required for server farm functionality restoration during failure
Ability to liaise with the government’s Information Assurance/Cyber Security Program Manager and Network Enterprise Centers for DNS entries and firewall/network configuration.
Ability to implement a system fault tolerance, backup, and recovery plan within current hardware platform capabilities.
