As a Security Officer - Government Site Patrol in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a member of the Allied Universal team, you will play a key role in supporting a government location by conducting unarmed patrols and monitoring assigned areas. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents and foster a welcoming environment for all visitors and staff. You will be responsible for performing routine patrols, remaining visible throughout the location, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $22.68 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points as required by site-specific policies.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
