Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an opportunity for a civilian contractor for a Full time Registered Triage Nurse at the Fairfax Ambulatory Care Clinic in Fairfax, VA.
This contract position offers:
- Flex 36 hours (Tues and Thurs 6:15am -8pm EST) or (MWF 6:15am - 8pm EST)
- Outpatient Setting
- Opportunity to Care for our Active Duty, Retiree's and their families
- 11 paid federal holidays (no Sundays or on-call responsibilities)
Essential Functions :
- Evaluating patients by conducting physical examinations or interviews.
- Reviewing medical history and determining symptoms and severity.
- Monitoring vital signs.
- Initiating emergency treatment if necessary.
- Sorting patients into priority groups.
- Communicating patient status to doctors and nurses.
- Providing education to patients and families.
- Transporting patients to appropriate treatment areas.
Job Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Shall have completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university; and/or graduate of an accredited National League of Nursing (NLN) School.
- 2+ years of RN experience preferred within last 5 years,
- Ability to communicate effectively with injured workers employer and treating physician's office
- Have knowledge of computer operations and proficiency in the use of basic word processing, data entry, and automated records.
