We are seeking a strong Architect to support our Air Force customer on an exciting program. This is a new initiative leveraging industry best practices and open-source software such as Kubernetes and containers, as well as commercial solutions. Candidates must be passionate, energized, and excited to work on modern architectures and solve challenging problems for our clients.

Position Description (what you will do)

  • Working on the Customization of Army MSSV simulation data models
  • Establishing source of truth and common data models
  • Performing various tasks such as reporting, queries, data archiving and logging, data consistency, working with physical data models and logical models.
  • Creating relational or other queryable projections from event streams


Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge in data pipelines, event-driven architecture, system of systems
  • Experience architecting, building and implementing complex, microservice-based systems
  • Advanced knowledge and hands on experience in applying architectural and software design patterns, and software development best practices
  • Experience in translating business requirements into design specifications
  • Experience leading, coaching, and mentoring Agile teams
  • Familiar with Agile methodologies including Scrum, eXtreme Programming, Kanban


Nice to Have:

  • Data background highly preferred
  • Experience with "Air-Gapped" systems
  • Knowledge in Machine Learning algorithms and frameworks such as Tensorflow
  • Kafka experience
