Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) National Team Program is looking for a Network Engineer to join the team in Colorado Springs, CO to support the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS).
The Boeing Missile Defense Programs support the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) mission to develop and deploy a layered Missile Defense System to defend the United States, its deployed forces, allies, and friends from missile attacks in all phases of flight. As a Missile Defense Network Engineer, you will support the development, integration, verification, and test of the C2BMC. C2BMC National Team program is the system integration piece of the Ballistic Missile Defense System which defends the United States homeland and its regional allies all over the world. Be a part of our passionate and highly-motivated team who are excited to be on the forefront of defense of our nation. You will split your responsibilities between directly assigned technical assignments and providing guidance and input to the work of junior team members.
Position Responsibilities:
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires candidate acceptance by industry partner resource control board.
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Position Responsibilities:
- Will be part of the Cyber and Platforms (CAP) information technology team on the Command and Control Battle Management Communications (C2BMC) program, and assist the senior system administrators and government network subject matter experts with the management and sustainment of network components supporting associated support networks
- Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions
- Evaluate customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces
- Perform various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture
- Perform analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success
- Develop, maintain and identify improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes
- Resolve cross-functional technical issues

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- (Level 3) 5+ years of work related engineering experience with a Bachelor's or 3+ years of work related engineering experience with a Master's or work related engineering experience with a PhD
- (Level 4) 9+ years of work related engineering experience with a Bachelor's or 7+ years of work related engineering experience with a Master's or 4+ years of work related engineering experience with a PhD
- Must possess a DoD 8570 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA). Candidate will be responsible to maintain DoD 8570 certification for the full contract period
- Network design experience
- Knowledge of network architecture, engineering, design, implementation, and testing. Understanding of network communication protocols and network routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP) and IP network troubleshooting. Basic knowledge of network testing methodologies using routers, switches, and firewalls
- Knowledge of TCP/IP behavior, network communications and routing protocols, network traffic analysis and troubleshooting experience
- Candidate must have proven troubleshooting skills
