Cyber Security Analyst (TS clearance Required)

Work You'll Do

• Coordinates incident response functions and provides expert technical support to enterprise-wide cyber defense technicians to resolve cyber defense incidents.
• Correlates incident data to identify specific vulnerabilities and make recommendations that enable expeditious remediation.
• Performs analysis of log files from a variety of sources (e.g., individual host logs, network traffic logs, firewall logs, and intrusion detection system (IDS) logs) to identify possible threats to network security. Performs cyber defense incident triage, to include determining scope, urgency, and potential impact, identifying the specific vulnerability, and making recommendations that enable expeditious remediation.
• Performs cyber defense trend analysis and reporting. Performs initial, forensically sound collection of images and inspect to discern possible mitigation/remediation on enterprise systems. Performs real-time cyber defense incident handling (e.g., forensic collections, intrusion correlation and tracking, threat analysis, and direct system remediation) tasks to support deployable Incident Response Teams (IRTs).
• Receives and analyzes network alerts from various sources within the enterprise and determine possible causes of such alerts. Tracks and documents cyber defense incidents from initial detection through final resolution. Employs approved defense-in-depth principles and practices (e.g., defense-in-multiple places, layered defenses, security robustness). Collects intrusion artifacts (e.g., source code, malware, Trojans) and use discovered data to enable mitigation of potential cyber defense incidents within the enterprise.
• Coordinates with intelligence analysts to correlate threat assessment data. Monitors external data sources (e.g., cyber defense vendor sites, Computer Emergency Response Teams, Security Focus) to maintain currency of cyber defense threat condition and determine which security issues may have an impact on the enterprise.

Helps manage and protect dynamic attack surfaces and provides rapid crisis and cyber incident response, ensuring clients can be ready for, respond to, and recover from business disruptions.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
• Active TS - Q clearance required.
• 3+ years of IT-related work experience.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $73,100 to $121,800.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
