Deloitte is seeking a Cryptography Technician who will master and serve as an authority in technical domains such as cryptography, network protocols/security, hardware security, software engineering, database, mobile devices, virtualization, and operating systems.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $93,225 to $155,375.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.

- Learn and use security concepts and techniques such as entropy, access control, authentication, auditing, side-channel analysis, etc.
- Become fluent in security standards such as FIPS 140 and Common Criteria
- Apply your knowledge and talents to scrutinize the security architecture, implementation, and deployment of various cutting-edge IT products.
- Support our customers in security-related areas and become or continue to be a recognized industry expert in your field.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field AND required 5+ years of related experience.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
- Must have Active TS - Q clearance required.
- Must be local to Las Vegas, NV and able to come onsite 5 days a week in Las Vegas, NV.
- 5+ years of experience in the following:
- Understanding cryptographic algorithms and the mathematical concepts behind them
- Programming and code analysis skills
- Working with Unix-based command line environments (e.g., Linux)
- Knowledge of network protocols (e.g., TLS/SSL, SSH, IPsec, IKE, SRTP, SNMP)
- Knowledge of information security (e.g., authentication, access control, network security)
- Technical report writing skills.
Preferred:
- Practical experience performing Common Criteria evaluations.
- Practical experience performing FIPS 140-x testing.
- Practical experience designing or implementing standards-based security features.
