The Project Manager/Director will lead, oversee, and coordinate all aspects of a federal contract supporting the CDC. This role serves as the primary liaison between contract staff, CDC COR (Contracting Officer's Representative), CDC program leadership, and contractor management. The Project Manager/Director is responsible for ensuring successful delivery of all contract deliverables, on-time performance, budget adherence, and staffing alignment across CDC CORVD teams.
Requires a NACI Public Trust or the ability to obtain one.

Program Specialist Responsibilities Include:
- Administrative & Program Support
- Maintain and adjust the Division/Branch leadership calendar, ensuring timely updates and meeting coordination.
- Maintain and regularly update the Division/Branch email distribution list.
- Distribute vacancy announcements, meeting invitations, and Division-wide communications at the direction of leadership.
- Provide guidance on time and attendance policies, including Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) processes, to staff.
- Personnel & Staffing Coordination
- Assist in developing recruitment packages for Student Worksite Experience and Guest Research (non-FTE) positions.
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding of contract staff.
- Prepare personnel documents for incoming international fellows, research fellows, and visiting staff.
- Support relocation and change-of-station processes for incoming and transitioning staff.
- Maintain and process office access card and key requests.
- Travel & Logistics Management
- Maintain an automated tracking system for CDC travel, including trip details, accounting data, passport info, and expense estimates.
- Assist staff with travel arrangements, documentation, and voucher processing.
- Prepare and send time-sensitive documents via FedEx or similar services.
- Data, Reporting & Systems Support
- Maintain and update monthly, annual, and ad hoc administrative reports.
- Input and manage data within spreadsheets, CDC systems, and other internal databases for personnel and procurement actions.
- Perform data entry, document creation, and spreadsheet management as needed.
- Attend meetings and teleconferences to represent administrative interests and take notes as requested.
- Operational Support & Communication
- Respond to telephone and email inquiries and route them appropriately.
- Review training requests and assist with property inventory activities.
- Ensure the inventory and procurement of needed office supplies and resources.
- Distribute Federal Leave and Earnings Statements to staff in a timely and secure manner.
- Scan, fax, and electronically archive documents as required.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Program Specialist Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in administrative, program, or operational support roles
- Familiarity with federal government procedures or experience in a public health setting preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and relevant federal systems (e.g., timekeeping, travel, personnel)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
